FALCON BEACH RETURNS TO GLOBAL WITH SEASON 2

NEW CHARACTERS, NEW CONFLICT... WATCH THE DRAMA UNFOLD

(TORONTO - December 4, 2006) - Falcon Beach returns to Global Television with its second season premiering on Friday, January 5, 2007 - 8pm ET/PT. The hit Canadian original drama series that also made a big splash on the international scene is back with the next installment of 13. 1-hour episodes - with new characters, fast-paced stories, and more luxurious backdrops.

The season takes audiences deeper into the lives of the rich set of the Bradshaws and their friends and associates, as Jason is tempted into a world of gambling and risk-taking that threatens everything he has been brought up to believe in.

"Television fans are in for a treat with the return of Falcon Beach," said Christine Shipton, VP, Original Programming, Global Television. "New characters, returning favourites and rich, more intense storylines deliver a fresh take on this original series' second season."

Falcon Beach, developed for Global Television, has been sold in 30 countries around the world - including the U.K. (where it is to air on the national broadcaster BBC), France, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Turkey, Israel and Vietnam.

New character Courtney True, (Jeananne Goosen) a love-them-and-leave-them daredevil, skydives into the second season promising fun and mayhem and Nathan Rai (Stephen Lobo) a slick, charming lawyer threatens both Jason's livelihood and his relationship with Paige.

This season once again features the beautiful sun-soaked beach town of Falcon Beach, an attractive ensemble cast, and a collection of the hottest soundtracks from both select indie and established bands.

Jason's (Steve Byers) livelihood - the marina his father built - is threatened by Trevor Bradshaw's new plans to build an upscale beachfront resort and his sometime girlfriend Paige (Jennifer Kydd) is torn between her father's plans and her love for Jason. Jail hangs over former model Tanya's head (Devon Weigel) for drug possession and assaulting a police officer and an old enemy comes back to threaten Bradshaw bad boy Lane (Morgan Kelly). Meanwhile Danny (Ephraim Ellis) and Erin (Melissa Elias) are growing up way too fast as they await the arrival of their baby.
