21st Annual Gemini Awards

The Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television is now in the 21st year of presenting the Gemini Awards. The Gemini was created to showcase Canadian English-language television; in all areas of the industry's production and talent. Since the first broadcast in 1986, the national television presentation has created a forceful reputation, and is currently established as one of the most significant national events in Canada.
This is the 6th year for presenting: The Academy's Most Popular Website Competition. The competition recognizes sites connected to the awards program, and a few of the previous winners include: Undergrads, Canadian Idol, and Degrassi: The Next Generation.
The first round of voting decides the top 10 sites, and closes on September 26th, 2006. Voting will continue until October 16th, 2006; deciding the winner of the top ten websites. The winners will be announced on the Gemini website: October 16th, 17th, 18th, 2006.
