France, Scandinavia snap up Falcon Beach*
Jules GrantFremantle International Distribution has inked a raft of deals on its new teen drama Falcon Beach following the LA Screenings last week and is close to announcing a deal with a UK terrestrial.
France's M6 has acquired the (26x60') drama as well as Scandinavian broadcasters TV2 Denmark, TV4 Sweden, TV Norge Norway, Channel 4 Finland, Nederland 3 Netherlands and IBC Iceland's Sirkus all on board. A UK deal is also inked, with the announcement imminent, according to Fremantle.
Falcon Beach is from Insight Productions and Original Pictures in conjunction with Canada's Global Television and ABC Family in the US.
The series tells the story of local and vacationing teens who share three months together in a waterfront community on the shores of Lake Winnipeg, following their complex and often steamy relationships. It premieres on June 5 in the US.
