Paige bites the bullet and invites Jason to join her and her family at the Country Club's annual strawberry social. Champagne, strawberries, puffy creamy things and small talk with the upper crust--all the ingredients of a perfect date? Things started out well enough: Jason made his best effort to blend, and Paige did her best to make him feel at ease. But ultimately, this date turned sour. Let's examine why...

Deal Breaker: The not-so-subtle family member.

Inviting your date to a family function can be a great way to make them feel a part of your life. But oftentimes, it's that foot-in-the mouth relative that makes or breaks this deal. From embarrassing childhood stories (about YOU), to uncomfortable questions, to unintentional (or totally intentional) insults, this relative will make you wish you stayed in and rented a movie.

FB Example: Things were running smoothly until Paige's dad stirred things up with a barrage of vicious lies and insults. Trevor called Jason a "washed up wake-boarder" and implied that Paige only invited him to sway his decision about the Marina. The end result: an overheated Jason lashes out at Trevor and storms out of the Country Club faster than you can say 'puffy creamy thing.' Not exactly an A+ date.
