Devon Weigel as Tanya Shedden

Calgary, Alberta native Devon Weigel stars as Falcon Beach bad girl and wild child Tanya Shedden, whose stormy relationship with sweetheart Jason Tanner is compounded by her growing drug and alcohol dependence.

Devon has an extensive background in theatre and has performed in such musicals and stage productions as Gypsy and The Pirates of Penzance, as well as Calgary's Shakespeare in the Park runs of The Merry Wives of Windsor, Measure For Measure, Macbeth and As You Like It.

In TV and film, her credits include Practical Magic, a pilot for WB/CBS, 14 Hours for TNT/Paramount and Touching Evil for USA.

Devon, who currently lives in Vancouver, British Columbia, pumps pure adrenalin into her role as the self-destructive Tanya. "She's so much fun," says the brunette actress with brilliant blue eyes. "Tanya is a girl with lots of layers. It's a challenge to play such a complex and jaded character who has experienced more of life than any of her peers."

Although Devon did not spend the summers of her childhood at a lakeside cottage, she was thrilled to experience the many adventurous callings of the season. "I am a city girl, but it was so much fun to sail, water ski, drive a boat and an ATV."
