Growing up in the Middle East where her father taught at universities in Jordon and Alexandria, her early years were anything but ordinary. Bitten by the acting bug in high school Miriam found her true passion.

Spending her teenage years in rural Langley BC, one of her favorite pastimes was to walk into local businesses in character. Pestering the proprietors with exotic accents, and creatively constructed visions of how she thought a variety of eccentrics would appear. Narrowly avoiding being run out of town when a gas station attendant called the police after thinking he was about to be scammed by a Texan Trustafarian, Miriam put aside frivolity replacing it with a profound respect for the craft of acting. Studying at Simon Fraser University, and with a few select teachers including Andrew McElroy, and Susan Batson. While in New York in the fall of 06 she returned to Black Nexxus to study with Susan Batson, enjoying the intensity of the city and demands of one of the professions top coaches. Walking home from class late one evening she was struck with an epiphany, and in the words of Joyce "'Remember your epiphanies on green oval leaves, deeply deep, copies to be sent if you died to all the great libraries of the world, including Alexandria?"

R. Morgan Slade as Gavin

Morgan SladeFalcon Beach is the 3rd time I have had the pleasure of working with executive producer Kim Todd. First as 'George Kilodney Jr.' in the TV series 'My Life as a Dog", then as the classmate 'Parker' in the TV series "The Adventures of Shirley Holmes", and now as one of Jason's new friends 'Gavin' on Falcon Beach. When I got the call and was told I landed the role of Gavin, I immediately saw this as a chance to show Kim how far I've come from that little 10yr old up to now.

I also had the pleasure of playing the 17 and 20 yr old 'Telford Simmons' for the screen adaptation of the book "The Stone Angel" over the summer in between shooting for Falcon Beach.

Getting to play Gavin on Falcon Beach was a very big deal for me. I was initially just thrilled about getting to be the guy cheering Jason on as he was being pulled around by a big red truck in episode 1, and didn't expect Gavin would be expanded as much as he was over the season. I got to work with Steve Byers for the majority of my scenes and it was really easy to create a sense of familiarity between our two characters in the incredibly short amount of time we had together. The role of Gavin was one of the biggest opportunities I've had so far as an actor. It was really important to me that I throw as much confidence into Gavin's personality as I possibly could to make him as fun-loving as I possibly could, and stretch my "cool-guy" muscles after playing my share of awkward nerdy characters. I've got the 'nice-guy-who-finishes-last' thing down to a science but if Gavin sees something he wants he's going to go for it, and that's a lot of fun to play.

David Lewis as Ethan Ross

Born and raised on the mean streets of Chicago, David James Lewis grew up with an edge only the concrete jungle can provide. Sound unreal? It is, he's from South Vancouver, British Columbia. His first taste of acting came in the role of 'Spinning Top #2', in a grade three Christmas pageant, some of his best work. High school brought Fiddler on the Roof, West Side Story, and girls, girls, girls. He was bitten. Cutting his teeth on many commercials taught him how not to look into the lens and the 'joys of looping dialogue'. Climbing the ladder towards Canadian Stardom (oxymoron?) he paid his dues with one-line jobs such as, 'line three chief' and 'Mulder, we've got a problem'. After landing the lead in the 1999 Best Short Film in Cannes called "Shoes off" it was time for David to get serious.

David's previous experience includes a year as a regular on the series "Hope Island" which launched David into the leading man category and now he makes his living as an actor. Some of David's other television credits include recurring roles on "Dead Like Me" and "The L Word" as well as Guest Star roles on "The Outer Limits" and "The Dead Zone". Film career highlights include working with William H. Macy on "Door To Door", working with Ben Affleck on "Paycheck" and working on Harrison Ford's "Firewall". Starring with Andy Dick in the romantic comedy "Special Delivery" was another memorable experience for David.

Between acting, golf, and Madame Cleo's massage emporium life is pretty damn good for this Canadian kid. The possibilities are endless.
